The Montreal Chamber Music Festival is Montreal's premier chamber music event. Your visit to our fair city won't be complete until you've listened to the Tokyo String Quartet or the extraordinary violin performance of James Ehnes. Pianist, Jean-Philippe Collard will be on our stage and the Swingle Singers will make a triumphal return to Montreal. Our TD Jazz and Jeans series will feature Carol Wellsman and her trio, the music of Cuba and the Tango and Lorraine Desmarais and her musicians. All of Beethoven's string quartets will be performed this season and Russian music will be featured in our closing day marathon concert. What a magnificent way to enjoy Montreal!
Our season starts on May 5th 2011 and runs to the 28th of May. All performances take place at St. George's Church, a magnificently beautiful example of neo-gothic architecture with an outstanding acoustic.
We are located on the corner of Peel and de la Gauchetière, just across the street from the Marriott Château Champlain Hotel and are easily accessible by car, foot or metro.
Montreal is a great place to be and May is the perfect month to visit us. Not too hot, not too cold. The Montreal Chamber Music Festival invites you to an outstanding musical experience, the first festival of Montreal's amazing summer.
