The Blending of Art and Technology!

Elektra is a large cultural event presenting the works of artists combining the latest electronic music and the visual creation coming from the techniques in animation, installation and robotics. Thanks to the most recent digital technologies, the festival achieves to create unique links between different mediums of creation such as music, design, games and sound or interactive installation. Elektra is thus a gathering of various multidisciplinary artists who are part of the world of dance, music, design, cinema, visual art, etc.. It is hence with the combination of visual and sound that you will have the chance to see these international artists or future stars of the avant-garde who have a marked interest in the development of the art linked to new technologies. The 10^th edition of this colourful festival will be held from May 1^st to 10, 2009 at Usine C, Cinémathèque québécoise, Centre des arts actuels Skol, La Centrale, articule, Galerie Lilian Rodriguez as well as Galerie Pierre-François Ouellette Art Contemporain.
