Once again the winter season is finally settling in, bringing its loads of unique activities perfectly tailored for the Quebec colder season. Forget about the « Storms of the Century », the cold temperatures or the freezing rain, winter is definitely not a season to be bored with. So grab your boots, scarf, tuque, mittens and all you need to fight the cold and get outside!
Go enjoy a most amusing family day out on one of the numerous public ice skating rink offered by you municipality. Skating through an ice path in the woods or playing a friendly hockey game will certainly make your cheeks turn red for the rest of the afternoon.
Ski or snowboard lovers will also be glad to challenge the powdery snow slopes of one the many ski resorts of Quebec while making sure to take a few moments to enjoy the marvellous view from the summit.
Go also back to winters of yesteryear by getting on board a horse sleigh or dogsled, comfortably wrapped up in a heavy but warm fur blanket. You will thus have an idea of how our ancestors used to live in winter in a time where there were definitely no remote starters or heated seats to warm you up.
And in the end, if a « Storm of the Century » does come by, bury yourself in bed for a day and make the most of it by planning your next day in the great outdoors!
Have a nice winter!
