A Zoo in Winter
It is in the north-east of Lac-Saint-Jean that you can find Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien. This very particular zoo accommodates close to 80 animal species representing the Borealie. You will find habitats making one with the surrounding nature and offering vast green spaces where animals can behave naturally. A quick ride on the train of the zoo will get you to Parc des sentiers de la nature. And, for a change, you will find that at Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien, it is humans who are in cages and animals in liberty. Wildlife and nature lovers will also be glad to know that the zoo is open in winter!
Animals in the Wild
Indeed, the zoo will be open during Christmas period, school break and all of January, February and March week-ends. You could thus watch animals in their winter camouflage inside a splendid setting.
Throughout the winter season, the ZSSF gives you the chance to enjoy a wide range of activities for the whole family such as the arrival of Santa Claus and the polar bear snack. In the meantime, keep some time to have a look at the lynxes, wolverines, cougars and Japanese macaques.
Finally, your visit to Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien will allow you without a doubt to have a great breath of fresh air in the surrounding nature of the taiga. And to end your visit, be tempted by some movies on the Borealie.
