Winter is a season we like or dislike. We like it for its snow, of course, but also for the outdoor games we play with children, the snow fortified castles, the snowmen, and the snow angels… . We dislike it when we have to clear the snow off the car or the alley, because of the cold weather or the snowstorms… But after all, clearing the snow off the alley is a good physical activity! Once we put on our warmest clothes, the cold weather should not bother us. As for snowstorms, the sight of these large snowflakes falling on the ground and the magic landscapes they leave behind should put a smile on our faces.
A Big Breath of Fresh Air
In winter, we enjoy fresh air and we breathe deeply. We take out our winter jackets, gloves and scarves, put on our boots, our snowshoes or our cross-country skis and we explore the forests or the neighbour parks. With a little chance, we might even see some small animals or deer looking for evergreens or leaves tucked underneath the snow. For an out-of-the-ordinary ride, go on a horse-sleigh ride. Tucked beneath warm wool blankets with a coffee or hot chocolate in your hands, you can let yourself be driven through the paths.
Among the most popular activities, let’s not forget snowmobiling, alpine skiing, snowboarding and skating. There are numerous mountains, national and regional parks as well as rivers and lakes. Some people even take advantage of this cold weather to step in the warm water of an outdoor spa after diving in the cold water of a lake. We should all take advantage of our beautiful natural resources anytime! In winter, for an extreme or out-of-the-ordinary activity, it is always possible to find a place where you can go ice climbing, paraskiing, ice fishing and even ice golfing. And since some people are still riding their bikes on the snowy roads, everything is permitted…
