Tourist newsletter, Quebec's Seasons - Vol 2, number 1

Régions du QuébecThe Bas-Saint-Laurent region is constantly washed by the St. Lawrence River. Water can be seen miles around, just like fishers, swimmers, kayakers, ferries and lighthouses. The forests reign over a dominating nature and provide a great environment for the practice of varied outdoor activities. The Bas-Saint-Laurent also means culture, and between two visits at the museum, take the time to relax in one of the health centres. You will want more!

Régions du QuébecMany people think that Nunavik is very far and inaccessible, yet this region is worth discovering. Its localization north of the 55th parallel, its vegetation made of taiga and tundra, its almost permanent summer sunlight and its very long and dark winters make this haven a very special and unique place. The large spaces provide a great environment for long dog sledding excursions (a change from snowmobiling excursions) and for animals and iceberg observation. In summer, aboard a boat sailing on the numerous rivers and lakes of the region, you will find fishers looking for the best catch of their life. Not far away, hunters listen carefully to the surrounding noise, waiting for the appropriate moment to capture their dreamed game. In winter, during the endless nights, northern lights dance their magic dance…

More to come

There is only one region left to complete Global Internet’s website. The next region will be online soon, which will finally allow you to virtually visit all the 21 tourist regions of Quebec. In the Spring in Quebec issue, you will be able to read about the James Bay region. Until then, have a nice winter!

We would like to take advantage of this newsletter to announce that a festival and event page will soon be online, displaying more than 300 festivals and events that take place everywhere in Quebec throughout the year. This addition to the Guide should take place in the following months and will surely be online for the issue of the Spring in Quebec. You can read about these activities and events at www.quebec-guidetouristique.travel/index_en.aspx, in the Québec Travel guide or in the 21 guides of the tourist regions. Visit us often to plan your next stay in Quebec!
