Hiver Winter in Quebec is the ideal season to go out and take in some fresh air! Take advantage of the thick snow blanket to do all kinds of activities and to celebrate winter during the festivals held in many regions. The Gatineau Park is the ideal place in the Outaouais region to enjoy winter to the fullest. Cross-country skiing lovers will enjoy the 200 kilometres of well-groomed paths. You can even do some winter camping here! What a great way to experience Quebec’s winter! Those who prefer alpine skiing can ski down the 23 trails of Camp Fortune.

To fully experience Quebec’s winter, come try your luck at Atlantic tomcod fishing. Since 1938, the inhabitants of the Mauricie region and of the province gather here in winter to fish for Atlantic tomcod, which comes spawning in the Sainte-Anne River. At the Centre de pêche Gaétan Portelance, you can initiate yourself to this Quebec’s typical sport and do all kinds of other activities on the site.
