The McCord Museum, one of the most important museums in Canada, is dedicated to the preservation, study, diffusion and appreciation of Canadian history. This summer, the McCord Museum allows visitors to discover Cirque du Soleil from frills to thrills with the exhibition Dream Weavers, Costumes by Cirque du Soleil. From May 26, 2010 to January 9, 2011, listen to the tales these costumes have to tell and share in the memories of those who created and produced them. The exhibition pays homage to the savoir-faire of costume designers and artisans at Cirque du Soleil and introduces museum visitors to a universe of colour and texture unlike any of its kind, a voyage into the mesmerizing realm of its shows.
Do not miss the chance to also visit the McCord Museum’s other great exhibitions, Being Irish O’Quebec, the permanent exhibition Simply Montreal and a wonderful photographic presentation of portraits of Aboriginal women, Wathahine.
