Heritage Jewel in LaSalle

An impressive monument nearly 13 metres high, Fleming Mill is the only Anglo-Saxon mill in Québec.

In 1816, it was at the heart of one of the biggest lawsuits in the seigneurial regime in Canada. The Sulpicians, seigneurs on the island of Montréal, attacked Miller Fleming, who contested their exclusive right to mill wheat. Come to the Mill and discover the historical and socio-economic contexts of the early 19th century, the life of Miller Fleming, his mill and the products that he processed there.

Tour and live theatre
The Mill is open every weekend in the summer. On Sunday, at 2 p.m., take in the entertainment presented at its little outdoor theatre—plays, storytelling, singing and dancing. To tour the Mill with a group, contact us to book your reservation.

Please note: Due to their architectural design, windmills are not accessible to people in wheelchairs or those who have a mobility disability; however, the country theatre is accessible to everyone.

• Take Autoroute 20 west to exit 63, and then to exit 2 (Clément/Saint-Patrick); turn right and go up to chemin du Musée. Then turn left and drive along the river until you get to the Mill.

• Angrignon metro, Bus 110 or 106.

• The bicycle path takes you there.
