2009 Regional Winner of the prestigious Grand Prix du Tourisme Québécois in category Festivals and Events of less than one million, Lanaudière Mémoire et Racines make it big again by providing the public with a more enhanced programming.
The Parc Saint-Jean-Bosco in St. Charles Borromée is once again the scene of the great festival of traditional music. Nicolas Pellerin and et les Grands Hurleurs, Genticorum, The Red Stick Ramblers, Vishten, Dentdelion, Les Chauffeurs à Pieds and several other artists share with you pleasure and passion on a beautiful site!
The festival continues the formula that made his success and fame, with acoustic concerts and workshops during the day (almost 60), big concerts and dances at night, programming in downtown Joliette (21 and 22 July) with many other artists like Le Bal à l’huile and Cercamon. Finally, in addition to hear the music at will, one would obtain derivatives of the Festival : CDs featuring artists of programming, products of the best local artisans, good food, a delightful place and music played between friends. To live an unforgettable experience in an atmosphere steeped in traditional culture, the Festival Mémoire et Racines is the place to be!
