La Fête du Lac des Nations
The 29th annual Fête du Lac des Nations festival will be held from July 13th to 18th 2010 at Sherbrooke city's Jacques-Cartier park. This year's event will feature a varied selection of more than 30 shows on three stages as well as the 13th edition of the Grand Feux TELUS Canadian fireworks competition. Other family activities at the festival include the region's largest amusement park, inflatable games, a skatepark, a videogame zone and a vast arts and crafts section.
This year, as a bonus, the Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra (OSS) will present its annual free outdoor concert on the festival's main stage the day before the festival, on Monday July 12th at 8 p.m. For this year's concert, conductor Stéphane Laforest, and the orchestra present La Russie éclatante! (Dazzling Russia).
