Huttopia, a Ready-to-Camp Tent

La tente HuttopiaCamping and outdoors lovers probably know the Sépaq, the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec. This organisation manages 22 national parks, 15 wildlife reserves, 9 information centres and Sépaq Anticosti, all spread throughout the province. These places give you the chance to practise outdoor activities in total peace like biking, kayaking, wildlife observation, hiking, etc. Some of the national parks in Québec offer you the possibility to pitch your tent or bring your caravan inside the park. But if you have never camped before but would like to try it, Sépaq has a totally original experience for you. Sépaq suggests you the Huttopia tent, an all-new concept coming from France.

The New Ready-to-Camp of the Sépaq

Huttopia TentThis new product specifically made for natural environments is the perfect tool for families or groups of persons who enjoy nature but who do not have adequate camping equipment. The product in question is a ready-to-camp tent, fully equipped and set up on a wooden platform of 4 meters by 7 meters. Made as a regular tent, Huttopia is however much larger, containing two separate rooms and living spaces both inside and outside. The outside section under an awning includes a gas stove allowing you to cook. And like a small summer cabin, it is furnished with a table, some chairs and a fridge. The tent itself is heated with electricity or gas and you can rent sleeping bags at the Sépaq office of the national park. Furthermore, bathrooms facilities are never really far.

So, what are you waiting for? This experience in nature is available in 13 national parks in Québec at the moment. According to the popularity in 2007 of the ready-to-camp caravans, there is no doubt that Huttopia tents will have a great success in the next few years. It is not a surprise since it combines comfort and space with a wonderful natural setting. The tents are accessible from June 20 and they can contain a maximum of 5 people, but not more than 4 adults. The price is $99/night for two adults and their kids of less than 18 years of age. There are fees of $5 for each additional adult. At this price and with this comfort, you will certainly be able to spend a few more nights.

The Huttopia Experience in Québec’s National Parks Network

In 2008, 62 tents will be accessible in 13 of the 22 national parks of Québec. In three years from now, Sépaq plans to integrate 88 other Huttopia tents, increasing the total to 150. At present time, you can try this unique experience in the following national parks in Québec:
