Divided Between Québec City and Charlevoix

Inside Québec City and Charlevoix regions, Groupe Dufour needs no presentation for most of us. But for the others, you should know that the Dufour family was firstly known for its tourist accommodations before expanding its field of expertise to cruises on the St. Lawrence River. With the celebrations surrounding the 400th anniversary of Québec City, Groupe Dufour offers you accommodation and entertainment services, and gives you the opportunity to discover the St. Lawrence River in all its splendour. Departure: Québec City. Finish line: Charlevoix.

Centennial Hotel in Old-Québec

Hôtel ClarendonGroupe Dufour invites you to stay at the Clarendon Hotel which is situated right across the Québec City's town hall and thus close to all the festivities of the 400th anniversary of the city. Built in 1870, this hotel is the oldest in the Old-Québec. The hotel’s restaurant, Le Charles Baillargé, is the oldest restaurant in Canada offering a delectable gastronomy which mixes regional cuisine with international ingredients and flavours.

Hotel in Nature

Val des Neiges hôtel près du Mont Saint-AnneBut if you prefer to escape from the city for a while, the Val-des-Neiges is just the perfect place to do so. Between Québec City and Charlevoix, you will be just minutes away from the multiple activities offered at Mont Sainte-Anne and not so far from Québec City either. Val-des-Neiges itself offers you spacious rooms with a picturesque view of the mountain from your own balcony. You can also enjoy the indoor pool or outdoor spa. Val-des-Neiges’ restaurant and bistro-bar will bring you market-fresh cuisine and a lovely lounge to have a drink afterwards.

A Visit in Charlevoix

Hôtel Cap-aux-Pierre Isle-aux-CoudresGroupe Dufour can also offer you many possibilities for accommodations in Charlevoix if you wish to spend a bit of time in this beautiful region. Groupe Dufour has an accommodation all set for you at Isle-aux-Coudres. The Cap-aux-Pierres Hotel is in fact the first ever establishment of the Groupe Dufour. It is there that everything started in the late 1950’s with a house including 10 rooms which was accommodating a few travellers during summer. Despite the changes made to the hotel throughout the years (extension, rebuilding after a fire), the establishment has lost nothing of its magnificence and still holds a family feeling. And in Baie-Sainte-Catherine, you can also take the opportunity to have a direct access to the beach at the Vacancier Motel, the only motel right next to the beach in the region.

Cruises for Everyone

a boat trip to watch the whales on the St. Lawrence RiverAlso, a trip in Charlevoix would not be the same without a cruise to watch the whales on the St. Lawrence River. Offering departures from Baie-Sainte-Catherine or Tadoussac, go on board the Famille Dufour ship or a have an exciting ride on a zodiac to discover these great cetaceans and other marine mammals. Those cruises will give you a great opportunity to photograph these magnificent mammals and to learn a bit more about them and their habitat with naturalists on board.

Special Offer

In order to be a part of the festivities surrounding the 400th anniversary of Québec City, Groupe Dufour now offers you Québec City as a point of departure for the cruises. Taking a deluxe motorcoach, you will arrive directly at the embarkation point for the cruise. This special offer suggests you thus to relax and watch the beautiful regional sceneries with the least of worries.
