A must-see tour
The 15th edition of La Tournée des 20 takes place during four consecutive week-ends, that is September 18-19, 25-26, October 2-3, and 9-10-11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in eight municipalities of the vineyard region : Dunham, Frelighsburg, Pigeon Hill, Saint-Armand, Philipsburg, Notre-Dame de Stanbridge, Mystic and Stanbridge East.
Meet the artists and artisans and discover their techniques
The original works exhibited are of professional quality and reflect the people who have made them and the places where they have been made. Many different kinds of art disciplines and crafts are represented. This year, ten new members join the 2010 edition by bringing with them seven new techniques. So, the visitors have the opportunity to visit studios presenting different disciplines, such as textile painting, watercolour, acrylic painting, oil painting, pottery, porcelain, jewellery, fused glass, stained glass, engraving, printmaking, metalwork, sculpture, violin making and tinplate making.
A group exhibition showing the works of all the participants is held at the Centre d'Art de Frelighsburg, at 1 Place de l'Hôtel de Ville from September 18th to October 11th inclusively, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..
La Tournée des 20 takes place during the wine harvest, which is an established attraction in the region. As a consequence, the visitors, while enjoying a bucolic escapade, have the chance to visit the studios of artists and artisans in a charming setting, where art meets nature.
