For those wishing to take the pulse of the cultural identity of Quebec, the Festival La Virée in Carleton-sur-Mer meets certainly your expectations. Since 2001, the Festival La Virée, showcases and disseminates cultural practices from the Quebecois tradition with professional performances of stories, music and traditional dance, a public market with over forty artisans and biofood producers of the Gaspésie, many workshops facilitating contact between artists and participant, an evening of traditional dance, exhibitions, a program for the young people with the Circus School of Gaspé, heritage tours... all in a fall colorful, between sea and mountains! Often enjoy the benefits of the Indian summer in the heart of the Baie-des-Chaleurs, the Festival La Virée distinguished by its intergenerational aspect. Toddlers as well as seniors find themselves in this festival, which has more than thirty activities in connection with our heritage living and nearly 2 / 3 of these activities have free admission.
