Such a colourful region for you to discover!

Paysage d'automne dans les Cantons-de-l'EstIt is not surprising that this region is so popular among fans of outdoor activities given its four national parks, numerous regional parks, and the fact that 80 % of this area has been untouched by humans. Since there are a lot of broad-leaved trees, autumn colours are exposed in an astonishing way.

This region is also remarkable for its various cultural sites and reputed restaurants that allow you to take advantage of culinary pleasures. The architectural aspect of the Eastern Townships is somewhat particular, in a sense that we can see different architectural styles, such as Victorian, New-England and Second Empire styles.

Granby offers to visitors a vast choice of activities and many places of interest. Its zoo is home to 1,000 animals of 270 indigenous and exotic species. It is also one of the most beautiful zoological gardens in Canada. Continents like Africa, South America, Oceania and Asia promise fascinating discoveries! Renowned for its unparalleled magnificence, Centre d’interprétation de la nature du Lac Boivin is a conservation site containing a splendid marsh where you can observe different kinds of birds. A number of bicycle paths and urban parks have been developed in that city.

The city of Lac-Mégantic is also very appreciated by vacationers. In fact, Parc national de Frontenac and Parc national du Mont Mégantic remain the favorite places of outdoor enthusiasts. Considered as a haven of peace, Parc national de Frontenac is home to 200 bird species and more than 30 mammal species. Moreover, you can take advantage of the nature by hiking or cycling. Located in the first International Dark Sky reserve, Parc national du Mont Mégantic will surely impress you with its huge massif and wild nature.
