fall in Quebec

A brief insight

LanaudièreThe regions of the Centre-du-Québec and Lanaudière are located on either side of the St. Lawrence River, which formerly, and still nowadays, allowed well-irrigated fields. It is not surprising to see the large number of agricultural fields, farms and regional products that these regions produce. In the Centre-du-Québec, there is the route des fromages, but also cranberries and maple groves. In Lanaudière, you will discover history, especially from the Patriotes epoch, and the ancestral houses standing along the Chemin du Roy are there to prove it.

LavalEven if Laval is one of the smallest tourist regions of Quebec, its proximity with Montréal drew many families who came here to settle. Besides, several activities are centered on children like the Cosmodôme or Jungle Adventure. Greener and leafier than its neighbour island, Laval is a real peaceful haven in the large metropolitan area.

DuplessisThen there is Duplessis. This region located far east of Quebec has the Labrador, the Nunavik, the James Bay and the Manicouagan regions as neighbours. Let’s not forget the Gulf of St. Lawrence that stretches along the region for several kilometres, thus allowing the practice of many water activities. To the north, you will even see the boreal forest where conifers outnumber broad-leaved trees.

Iles de la MadeleineFinally, the Îles de la Madeleine. This region cannot be compared with any other in Quebec. This archipelago of a dozen islands offers the Gulf of St. Lawrence as far as the eye can see. There are many sea excursions, and fishing is the main source of income, along with tourism. Here, nothing is more frequent than eating a fresh lobster! The panoramic roads allow you to admire the expanse of the dunes and beaches, either by foot, by bike or by car.

More to come
There are only three regions left to put on Global Internet’s website. The next regions will be online soon, which will finally allow you to see all the 21 tourist regions of Quebec. By the issuing of Winter in Quebec, we should have added the Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Nunavik and the James Bay regions. Until then, have a nice fall!
